Our admissions process helps families understand Cupertino Academy, while giving our team the information needed to recommend a pod where each student can learn successfully. Every family begins with an inquiry and an in-person visit — not a form letter.
The process
From first inquiry to enrollment.
Submit an inquiry
Complete the inquiry form and share your current literacy concerns, relevant learning history, and the support your family is seeking.
Tour the school and talk about your student
We contact you to schedule an in-person tour. You see the learning environment, learn how the homeschool partnership works, discuss your student’s needs and goals, and ask us anything.
Share the learning picture
Before your student visits, you share any evaluations, school records, tutoring history, or learning history you have. A formal dyslexia diagnosis is helpful, but not required to begin.
Complete the assessment and shadow day
Your student completes the WADE assessment by appointment and joins the Foundations pod for a two-hour shadow experience, so our team can observe engagement, pacing, participation, and small-group fit.
Leadership review
Cupertino Academy’s leadership staff review the assessment results, observations from the shadow day, instructional needs, learning history, and small-group fit together.
Receive the decision and pod recommendation
We share the admissions decision and, if a place is offered, the recommended pod — based on instructional need, not age or grade alone.
Confirm enrollment
If you accept the placement offered, we complete the enrollment materials and financial terms that secure your student’s place.
The student visit
What the assessment and shadow day involve.
WADE assessment
By appointment. Identifies your student’s current reading and spelling skills, learning strengths, and an appropriate instructional starting point.
Shadow day
Your student joins the Foundations pod for the full two-hour literacy block — normally 12:15–2:15 p.m. — so our team can observe engagement, pacing, participation, and small-group fit. A few dates differ; see the academic calendar.
Placement is based on what a student is ready to learn — not age or grade. Assessment findings, observation, instructional need, and small-group fit all inform the recommendation.
Tuition
Tuition for the 2026–27 school year.
Annual tuition
per school year
Daily instruction in groups of no more than four students, using Structured Literacy rooted in Orton-Gillingham principles. Tuition includes curriculum.
What tuition covers
A daily two-hour literacy block, five days a week, delivered by an Orton-Gillingham trained teacher in a pod of no more than four students — the complete English language arts and Orton-Gillingham instruction your child needs.
Payment options and any remaining enrollment costs are discussed with your family during the admissions process, before an enrollment commitment is requested.
Good to know: A formal dyslexia diagnosis is helpful but not required to begin a conversation. Reach out and we'll guide you.
Homeschool requirements
How enrollment works in Georgia.
Students enrolled at Cupertino Academy must be registered as homeschool students in the State of Georgia while attending the academy. Families remain responsible for meeting Georgia homeschool requirements outside of Cupertino Academy's daily programming.
